SharpSpring mimics the best parts of other, more expensive marketing automation platforms like HubSpot, Pardot, Act-On and Marketo. Their UI is better looking than all except HubSpot’s, and the tool is just as easy to use. Their CRM migration tool makes it easy to switch from another CRM like Salesforce while maintaining custom property and notes data. The visual landing page and email template builders are great to use and really intuitive.

Cons:

There was a slight learning curve for a few of the tools, but that’s to be expected for any new platform. Certain parts of the UI seem a bit old-school with some custom property options labeled as “boolean,” “bit,” or “text-input,” but those are easy to get past. It’s actually hard to pinpoint things that I don’t like about SharpSpring.

Overall, we’ve been using SharpSpring for a few months and it’s exceeded our expectations and we haven’t hit any limitations with it. Glad to have a tool where all parts of sales/marketing automation exist and all of our sales/marketing data can be tracked. Hatchbuck is a great software for both large and small companies. It is one of the only services I have found flexible enough to be tailored to my many clients.

Pros:

The customer service is by far the greatest asset this software has. Hatchbuck is extremely customizable which is excellent when working with clients in many different industries but can present a challenge when deciding which categorizations and tag to use when building the system. Hatchbuck’s customer service team is always on-call to help assist in any way necessary.

Cons:

The pricing options and billing details aren’t completely transparent. Often, I will have to reach out to my Hatchbuck rep to get details regarding plans or billings.

What do you like best?
The targeting and segmentation options are fantastic in Growlabs. In addition to using the grow labs search and filter options, but you can also bring your own data. Being able to export lead data to other marketing automation platforms have been great. It’s also amazing to be able to upload lead data to custom remarketing lists on FB and other display networks.

What do you dislike?
There is a learning curve to Growlabs like any other platform. I wish I would have known more of the delivery factors ahead of time and what type of content not to include in the email sequences. The reporting is good, but could be better – I know they have lots of reporting upgrades coming soon though.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Growlabs is a good channel for our lead funnel which supplements our internet advertising and SEO campaigns. We sold 4 deals from our three-month Growlabs campaign.

We appreciate the fact that the sendlane support team is extremely knowledgeable and really take the time to assist with any issues. In addition, the leadership team is just as responsive. It’s not very often that you are able to get in contact with the CEO of the company to discuss strategy. They are really vested into the success of their users and it shows. The platform is easy to use and understand, but still had powerful features that can allow any customization. Its customer support team was great when we were migrating from MailChimp. It has plugins that connect it to other tools such as Facebook, Zapier.

Cons: Some of its features can be buggy at times. I sometimes get random error messages with our Facebook implementation.

Overall: Changing to Klaviyo was one of the best decisions we did. Our team was able to integrate with it quickly. It is very well documented. Its API allows us to also pass over information from other tools we use. My team is very happy with this platform and has no intention of moving away.

They recognize and reward good work and are willing to listen to suggestions for improvement. If you’re looking for a development job that allows you to think outside the box then I highly recommend kaizen!

Cons: Expectations are high and the work can be challenging. There is not a lot of hand-holding, but if you thrive in a “Learn by doing” environment then this could be the company for you.
