What do you like best?
Real-time (or near real-time) push notifications triggered by campaigns — highly sought after, very powerful feature.

What do you dislike?
Nothing at all. Service has been great and features are exhaustive.

Recommendations to others considering the product
Do your due diligence with trial accounts in the dashboards for various competitors and keep in mind that they do not all offer the same feature sets. For example, real-time push notifications and triggered push notifications (something we rely upon) were rare among competition.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Sending marketing/retention push notifications and in-app messages to users based on behavioral patterns, segments, and campaigns.

Pros: I was introduced to the SendX tool through ProductHunt. I signed up for the demo instantly. Got amazing support from the community manager. They helped me setup the tool. Setting up drip campaigns is extremely easy and it is extremely easy to import/export contacts and setup campaigns. I can tell that this is easily among the best of all similar tools available in the market.

Cons: The team behind Sendx has done a great job at building such an amazing platform. A few minor bugs at times is the only disappointment we have been through. But, the team is extremely proactive at resolving those when reported.

Overall: Maintaining subscriber lists on Sendx is easy and we can integrate with our Medium blog seamlessly. Zapier integration has been very useful too.

What do you like best?
Engagement Studio makes it easy to set up drip campaigns for our contacts. We can segment based on industry, department, time as a contact, etc. The UX of Engagement Studio is also user-friendly. I also like the automation rules because they allow you to use logic statements to apply actions to your contacts.

What do you dislike?
It would be nice to have a carbon copy option when sending an email so I could include some emails of coworkers so I don’t have to create a separate list and include their emails in that list.

Recommendations to others considering the product
Pardot allows you to segment, automate, send drip campaigns, and more. The Support could be better, often they take a long time to respond and have to escalate the issue if you do not have Premium Support, but other than that Pardot makes our jobs easier.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Segmentation, getting the right message to people at the right time. Being able to send emails to thousands of people and analyze engagement.

See how the PGA used Act-On to get a 70% conversion rate and break ticket sale records. Act-On is a trusted partner to our customers, helping them achieve success. Although there are plenty of companies in the marketing automation software space, Act-On (which begins at $900 per month for the Professional plan) stands out for offering a strong tool that contains a variety of features.

It falls just a bit below Editors’ Choice tools HubSpot and Pardot, but Act-On is in the running for best marketing automation suite for companies looking to connect email operations to other lines of business, including customer relationship management (CRM), search marketing, and social media marketing.

Act-On doesn’t reach the top of the pack for marketing automation software due to some limitations. However, if your company is flexible in considering various options and has an ample budget, then you should definitely test-drive Act-On before deciding on a marketing automation software to purchase.

It’s been great working with our account manager Alex, who has given top-notch support and advised on how to maximize usage of the platform. Despite data problems at our end, Alex has been very helpful in finding solutions that ensure we can still deliver initiatives, as well as providing extensive training.
