What do you like best?
As an early user of Keyhole, I was very impressed with the features it has that I can’t get anywhere else. It is helpful when I am analyzing the volume of branded keywords during promotions and events. I like being able to see which influencers are contributing to social activity.

What do you dislike?
The pricing has been a limiting factor for us since we don’t always have need of multiple keywords or accounts. A “mini” plan for 1 keyword and 1 account would be helpful so that it can be a quick finger on the pulse of only the most important keyword or hashtag we want to track when we don’t have need of more than 1.

Recommendations to others considering the product
I would recommend taking the trial first to see if it works for your needs.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Mostly we use Keyhole to track activity around Twitter promotions and to see what kind of volume happens around branded hashtags. We also use it to be able to recognize active influencers

Review: PCmag

Brandwatch analytics is a great social media analytics choice for digital marketing professionals employed by mostly larger businesses and enterprises. While it’s not overly difficult, the tool (which starts at $1,000 per month for 10,000 mentions) is aimed at professionals who prefer a data-driven user interface (UI) over one that’s more visually oriented.

While it doesn’t provide the combined publishing and analytics capabilities of sprout social, our editors’ choice for Sysomos, and can’t quite match the depth of synthesis and Sysomos, our editors’ choices for enterprises, brandwatch analytics is robust enough on the data analytics front to be worth a close look for numbers-oriented organizations.

What do you like best?
The search functionality is totally on point. They have a huge database of influencers that is well categorized and easy to sift through to find exactly what you need.

I find the price is a little outrageous for a small agency. The platform has been designed for enterprise level purchasing and re-licensing out to clients – this is really prohibitive when first trying to sell the product to clients as we can’t show them results without huge initial investment.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Pros: Their calendar/campaign feature is probably one of my favorite features. It’s comprehensive and the color coding makes it super organized. I’m a huge fan of the image library that’s included. Additionally, we love this product for social employee advocacy. It has helped out employees become brand ambassadors and share content super easily to their own networks.

Cons: There truly isn’t much that I don’t like about this product. The Salesforce integration works but unfortunately we haven’t been able to take advantage of it too much here.
