Apple Unveiled list of all-time Top iPhone and iPads Apps
Gail Davis, a British woman from Orpington in Kent, scooped the prize of a $10,000 (£6,250) iTunes gift card as the the winner of Apple’s Countdown to 10 Billion Apps competition. She has won a prize for becoming the 10th billion customer to download an app.
On January 19, Apple has unveiled its list of the all-time top iPhone and iPad apps , while inching closer to the 10 billionth download in its App Store.These are broken into four categories: Top Free iPhone Apps, Top Paid iPhones Apps, Top Free iPad Apps, and Top Paid iPad Apps.

The App Store first opened in mid-2008. By April of 2009, downloads had reached 1 billion. Six months later it was at 2 billion apps downloaded. In January 2010, there were 3 billion downloads. Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said:”
With more than 10 billion apps downloaded in just two and a half years, a staggering seven billion apps in the last year alone, the App Store has surpassed our wildest dreams.”
