The tool highlights what parts of your website require improvements to help ensure your best ranking. Review: Capterra

Pros: our business wouldn’t thrive without ahrefs. We use it for content marketing planning, SEO optimization, pr link outreach, competitive analysis, in-depth keyword analysis, keyword monitoring and more. Ahrefs can give you a great overview of where your business stands in the online marketplace and has countless complex tools to help you dig into backlinks, keywords, content and more.

Cons: I wouldn’t say it’s great for an SEO beginner as you need a fundamental understanding of SEO and online marketing to be able to get the most out of ahrefs. Also, ahrefs isn’t cheap, but for an agency who uses it every day, it’s worth the money for us.

Overall: allows us to perform basic and complex online marketing tasks from in-depth keyword analysis, keyword tracking, backlink analysis, site audits and more. We can also do content marketing planning using the content explorer. It’s the agency’s best friend.

We use Google Search Console to monitor every one of our websites. We use it in conjunction with Google Analytics as both a search optimization tool and to make sure everything is healthy web development-wise. It has proved especially helpful since the update. Tracking what keywords are actually being used by the people who visit our site and knowing the ins and outs of our link profile are the top use cases for Google Search Console.

SEMrush, which starts at $69.95 per month, is an all-in-one search engine optimization (SEO) tool offering a wide array of functionality across ad-hoc keyword research, ongoing search position monitoring, and crawling. As with Editors’ Choice winner Moz Pro, SEMrush gives small to midsize business (SMB) users nearly everything they need to manage an effective SEO strategy.

Ultimately we found that Moz Pro has a slight edge over SEMrush in its feature breadth and metrics. Our other Editors’ Choice winner, SpyFu, sports a better user experience and deeper sales and advertising-focused data and management at a lower price. Nonetheless, SEMrush is a powerful SEO platform that can do just about everything your business might need along with plenty of other bells and whistles, so it’s certainly worth an evaluation.

I recently used Ubersuggest to do some kw research. Considering I’m new to SEO, I found it easy to work with and, of course, it’s a plus that it’s free. There’s a box that tells you how easy or difficult it will be for your kw to rank, so that was helpful. I plan to keep using it and I do recommend it.

Pros
Agency analytics is a sophisticated marketing tool that we’ve been using loyally for years. Tons of configurations for keyword tracking – from local searches to mobile serps and more. It integrates with many of our other tool sets (paid search, email, social, call tracking…) and they keep adding to the list. Love it when a company continues to invest in product development and evolves with the industry and technology like agency analytics does.

Cons
We’ve had no issues with agency analytics that their support team hasn’t resolved quickly and comprehensively.

Review: Capterra

Pros: contentstudio.Io has totally changed the game for my business, including changing the game for all of my b2b clients (whom all sell b2c on social media). We’re able to take all of our social media presence to a whole new level, so much so that we’ve factually been a part of bringing more revenue into businesses that needed the boost.

Cons: the only thing that wasn’t my favorite but was a necessity was the transition to v2, but to be honest, I have been with a rep. And the team for a while now and they were transparent through the whole process. The end result was so worth it. I am literally a lifetime owner of the software and with my lifetime subscription they included all of the v2 updates (which they didn’t have to), so I am grateful. No complaints here.

Overall: my experience has been amazing, contentstudio.Io is my (by far) most frequently used software for social media posting and research. Rep. And his whole team are excellent, truthful and transparent people and if you decide to choose their competition over them, I guarantee you will regret it.

The story of how yotpo helps businesses enhance marketing performance is a long one, as this smart app boosts traffic in a variety of ways, rather than sticking to the traditional method of collecting reviews and rating.

If you’re an established retailer conquering the online market, or a starter looking to drive traffic, yotpo has you covered. As practice shows, the heavy lifting is due once the customer has arrived on your website and is looking to buy, rather than while trying to get him there, and that’s where yotpo helps the most.

Comments: if you do decide to go with zoho, be sure to check out the other zoho applications! They work very well together and can really enhance workflow!

Pros: the cost of the various zoho applications is very low allowing you to get the features you need and save on the fluff you don’t need. Beyond just the pricing, we have found zoho campaigns to be a great way to market to our email list. The analytics are great as well!

Cons: if you are looking for all the bells and whistles, you might choose a tool that has more features than you need at the moment expecting that you might need them later. This is one case in which it might make sense to go with a different option. Additionally, some of our team mentioned that the user interface is not as appealing as other email marketing tools.

While parts of this search engine optimization (SEO) package are a bit complex for pure novices, SpyFu is an excellent overall digital marketer’s tool set. Starting at $33 per month when billed annually, SpyFu can fulfill the needs of both advanced SEO practitioners and average business users. The software nails this delicate balance, due mainly to good UI design. That, along with its friendly price make it an obvious pick for our Editors’ Choice award. Moz Pro, our other Editors’ Choice winner, offers more tools overall, but for general small to midsized business (SMB) users, SpyFu is an excellent bet.

Moz build best-in-class SEO software for every situation, from our all-in-one SEO platform to tools for local SEO, enterprise SERP analytics, and a powerful API. Moz Pro offers a vast number of SEO tools across areas like keyword research, position monitoring, and crawling. We’d like to see the company better combine these products, which will improve an SEO platform that is already our Editors’ Choice.

Review : PCmag

Moz Pro could accurately be described as a pioneer in the search engine optimization (SEO) space, and in our latest review of the product we found that it’s taken full advantage of that experience. The company has worked hard to develop this package, which starts at $79 per month when billed annually, into an end-to-end SEO solution covering crawling, keyword management, and web page optimization. Its metrics are so respected they’ve become an industry standard for many marketers even those using other tools. With all that and a relatively nice price, we felt the product was an easy pick for Editors’ Choice along with competitor, SpyFu, which has slightly less in the way of features than Moz Pro, but a slicker, more intuitive interface.

Review : AWR Cloud

AWR

On its site, Advanced Web Ranking (AWR) claims it has the world’s “most accurate, longest-standing rank tracking tool.” While we weren’t able to confirm that as part of our testing, what we did confirm is that this package, which starts at $49 per month, is a solid all-around search engine optimization (SEO) tool for small to midsized businesses (SMBs). It covers ad hoc keywords search, ongoing position monitoring, and website crawling. It also has some brand recognition features that let it see which sites rank, which are doing well, and which are losing ground. All that and a decently designed interface make AWR Cloud worth a look for any SMB digital marketer. While it falls behind our other Editors’ Choice winners, Moz Pro and SpyFu, somewhat in terms of feature depth, it garners its own Editors’ Choice mainly for its automated monitoring, which was the best of all the tools we tested.

14. SEOQuake

I like that SEOquake is an easy to use SEO extension. I also like that you can go on pretty much any website to do site audits, making it easy to use for customers or for my own site. It breaks down a lot of information– including site infrastructure, backlinks, and density. It’s pretty much everything you need to know about a website in a somewhat easy to understand format.

15. DeepCrawl

DeepCrawl

DeepCrawl is a full body scan for your website, packing site auditing and domain crawling capabilities unmatched by any other products in this roundup. Its narrow focus means it can’t be the only tool in your suite, but it’s a worthy addition to your SEO arsenal.

Review : PCmag

DeepCrawl has upped its price a bit since we first looked at it. The tool now begins at $89 per month, billed month-to-month; $81.50 when billed annually). That’s about $10 more than it cost previously, so it shouldn’t be a problem for most search engine optimization (SEO) tool customers. What might throw you, however, is its design focus: this tool is meant for one thing and one thing only: inside-out, top-to-bottom website crawling. SEO tools can generally be grouped into three main categories. First there’s ad hoc keyword research, which helps you find the most opportune search pages for your content to rank higher. Next, there’s ongoing position monitoring, which is how you keep track of your search positions to identify where you’re gaining and losing ground. Finally, there’s crawling, in which web bots parse either a single website or systematically crawl and index the entire internet. DeepCrawl doesn’t do internet-wide crawls but it will give your website about as comprehensive an SEO “full body scan” as you can get.
