Finally! I have used this app on my iPhone, but due to a broken rear camera, I couldn’t use the scanning feature. Well I could, but the front camera is much more difficult to use, when you cannot see the screen. I have been waiting for the Android app for some time, and now it is finally here! The scanner makes it much more convenient, and also faster to add items to your inventory. However, I wished that it would also provide the item’s brand name, but that is a trivial detail. Love the idea!

4. Kitche

Love the app really good I live on my own so finding inspiration to use up spare veg. As a vegetarian thou I filter it to show only vegetarian resapies. I do sometimes get meat dishes mixed in also some ingredients don’t suggest anything but this doesn’t take away from the benefits of this fantastic app.

Review: GooglePlay

A great app. Definitely really helpful in terms of waste prevention and providing to those in need. The app could use some work and the liking and rating system in the app aren’t as helpful as one would hope and there is a constant issue with being logged out. It works as advertised though and helps with community building. I myself have become a volunteer (FWH) and hope this gets taken further.

6. Too Good To Go

Every day, delicious, fresh food goes to waste at cafes, restaurants, hotels, shops and supermarkets – just because it hasn’t sold in time. Too Good To Go lets you rescue a Magic Bag of this food so it gets eaten instead of wasted. You won’t know exactly what’s in your order until you pick it up – it’s all part of the surprise. Great food at great prices, served with a side of environmental kudos.

Review: GooglePlay

Fantastic app! We’ve had some amazing food, some from places we would not have though of going too, which we have then returned to and bought from at full price. We’ve bought and donated some of the bags to a local charity too. Great way to stop food waste. The app works well and is easy to use. I wish more companies were registered. Obviously with lock down and closures there are less places open on the app. Also a no meat option box is needed. We donated the meat bags we got to the foodbank.

Very clear and thorough, it shows the main sources of energy both in terms of percentage of the whole and actual energy supplied (megawatts and gigawatts). In portrait mode it shows the last 24hrs graphically.
