PewDiePie is one of the most well known You Tube personalities in the world. He has over 100 million subscribers.

He started with gaming walkthroughs and reviews and since them he has expanded himself into memes and sarcastic commentaries.

The man was born on October 24, 1989 in a small place of Sweden. Since childhood only he had a passion for video games in spite of his parents discouraging him for that.

The man joined the University of Technology in his city but in 2011 he dropped out of the same because he completely lacked interest in it.

While he was at the school, he registered himself at YouTube by the name of “PewDiePie”. This is an unique name because this name is the sound of shooting laser masks. Once he was out of his school, he decided to pursue his passion into YouTube.

But his parents refused to support him and thus to survive and support himself he started working at a hot dog stand and sold his artwork.

In earlier days, his channel consisted of Play by play video games which were known by the name of “Let’s play”. They also had a color commentary there.

He quickly realized that his videos with horror games were quite popular and people loved his over the top reactions. One of his first videos which became a huge hit was “Minecraft” and people loved his antics and voiceover comments which earned him 12 million views.

By this time, he also met his wife Marzia Bisognin who emailed her and said that her videos were quite funny and entertaining. Since then they have been together and Marzia also started her own youtube channel by the name of “CutiepieMarzia”.

In December 2011, he quit his hot dog job. By this time he has reached 60,000 subscribers and he shared his signature video “bro fist bump” and a message which read “ stay awesome”.

He also extended his content beyond video games and started a new series “Fridays with PewDiePie”. He achieved his first million subscriber in July 2012 and that same year he signed a multi channel YouTube contract with maker studios.

But the guy has always been a favourate controversy child. He was criticized for making rape jokes. But in Oct, 2012 he apologized on Tumblr that he won’t make any more rape jokes and also asked forgiveness for the same as well.

In august 2013, he became one of the most subscribed channels on YouTube and by the end of that year he had 19 million subscribers.

He featured several low budget video games and gained popularity quite soon. In 2014, he became one of the major channels to disable comments on the YouTube because he said the troll and negativity in the comment section is hindrance for him to connect with his fans.

By 2014, he had an estimated $7.4 million. He released his own video game in 2015 by the name of “PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist.” This was a $5 mobile app featuring his girlfriend and their dogs.

In 2016, he launched another video game as well. This all definitely boosted PewDiePie net worth but he also said that he is now tired discussing about his net worth.

He also wrote a book in 2015 which became the bestseller the same year. He also entered into a bad phase by commenting on Nazi Jokes and repeating the N word multiple times in his videos.

But he quickly bounced back and since then he is one of the owner of one of the most subscribed channels on Youtube. Forbes estimate that his earning in 2018 was $15.5 million.
